Short Man Syndrome

Short man syndrome, according to urban dictionary is describes as an angry male of below average height who feels it is necessary to act out in an attempt to gain respoect and recognition from others and compensate for his abnormally short stature. I think this maybe true, or it may exsist but in another way when it comes to the world of dating for me.

Recently, I got a message from a man shorter than me, it stated the following:

I was not sure what to think after reading it... but he ended up being a very nice guy over a few messages. I do not think I can actually judge like that so quickly. He stated that he was moving to the Milwaukee area. Honestly, I feel like I'd be wasting my time if I even went out with him. Being attracted to someone is important. As he is very attractive, I perfer someone who is taller than me. 

I shared this screen shot with a few friends of mine, I found their reaction to be as classic as mine. 

Text conversations with friends:

Best Friend: Wow that is funny. You would be dating a Brit sized guy (see first post for defintion).

Me: haha!

Friend 2: That's really pathetic!

Friend 3: LOL.... what a d-bag

Me: haha

Friend 3: How did he send that to you!!!?

Phone conversation with mom:

Mom: Oh, he seems really sweet Genna. You should go out with him....

Me: Really mom!! I am not digging a guy who possibily has SMS (Short Man Syndrome).
